We'll be busy next week working on our Valentines for school parties the week after. It's cute to see the kids get excited to make things for their friends and teachers.
Johnathan gave these out last year to his kindergarten class. We got them from the Stubby Pencil Studio; $7.95 for 12 cards and envelopes. They were great; he got to color each one and trace the dotted words at the bottom. It is an amazing little shop and their colored pencils and crayons are so nice.
He and Audrey are giving these cute Valentines from the Land of Nod to their friends this year; they are $5.95 for 32--two in each pack are teacher cards.
Johnathan picked Robots and Audrey like the animals.
Zach picked out these little color-your-own valentines one day when we were out running errands; he's not in school yet; so his are mostly for family, but he does have a few neighborhood friends he'd like to make one for as well. We picked these up at the Christmas Tree Shops; I forget the price, but they come with crayons and candy. Cute for little guys.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Hey, it's cheesy, but this song pretty much fits our lives right now
Just Another Day in Paradise by Phil Vassar
"The kids screaming, phone ringing Dog barking at the mailman bringing That stack of bills - overdue Good morning baby, how are you?
Got a half hour, quick shower Take a drink of milk but the milk's gone sour My funny face makes you laugh Twist the top on and put it back
There goes the washing machine; Baby, don't kick it. I promise I'll fix it Long about a million other things
Well, it's ok. It's so nice It's just another day in paradise Well, there's no place that I'd rather be
Well, it's two hearts And one dream I wouldn't trade it for anything And I ask the Lord every night For just another day in paradise
Friday, you're late Guess we'll never make our dinner date At the restaurant you start to cry Baby, we'll just improvise Well, plan B looks like Dominoes' pizza in the candle light
Then we'll tippy toe to our room Make a little love that's overdue But somebody had a bad dream Mama and daddy Can me and my teddy Come in to sleep in between?
Yeah it's ok. It's so nice. It's just another day in paradise. Well, there's no place that I'd rather be
Well, it's two hearts And one dream I wouldn't trade it for anything And I ask the Lord every night For just another day in paradise"
